What Is the Federal Skilled Worker Program?
The Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program is one of three programs managed under Canada's Express Entry system. It is designed for skilled professionals from around the world who want to immigrate to Canada based on their education, work experience, language ability, and other factors.
The FSW program uses a points-based system called the 67-point grid to determine eligibility, and the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank candidates in the Express Entry pool.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the FSW program, you must meet all of the following:

Your work experience must be in one of these National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER levels:

How to Apply
- Check eligibility — score yourself on the 67-point grid
- Get your language test — IELTS General or CELPIP (minimum CLB 7)
- Get your ECA — if your education is from outside Canada
- Create an Express Entry profile — you'll get your CRS score
- Wait for an ITA — based on your CRS ranking
- Submit full application — within 60 days of ITA
- Provide biometrics, police checks, and medical exam
- Receive your COPR — Confirmation of Permanent Residence
