How the Express Entry System Works

Express Entry is the federal government's main application-management system for economic immigration candidates seeking permanent residence outside Quebec. To join the pool, candidates must first qualify under one of three programs:

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC);
The Federal Skilled Worker Program; or
The Federal Skilled Trades Program.
